Hello! Additionally, you should investigate the possibility that this would have to be added to the employees W2. I am under the impression that certain classifications of employees have to have some set value added to their W2 when they take a vehicle back and forth to their home residence.

    Yes, we’re testing students.

We test when, through contact tracing, we identify a student had a close contact and the parent providers permission to test and if a child is showing symptoms and we have permission to test.

We are using Colors and it is free.

No, we are not using at-home kits.

Yes, modified quarantine for staff regardless of vaccination status.

We don’t really have a written policy. We’ve communicated to site secretaries and administrators that if someone is approved to come on campus, they’ll receive an email from Business Services. For years, we’ve never allowed these vendors on campus and our staff is pretty used to it. The vendors, every once in a while, will try something sneaky. We send them basically a “cease and desist” notice as soon as we hear they’ve attempted to come onto campus and it stops immediately. I think the word has spread the VVUSD doesn’t allow it and they avoid us now! So, no written policy but basic communication with our sites and consistency has lead to our success over here!

We were on the verge of selecting a vendor and signing a contract and then our HR department realized they could re-hire retirees to do both of these tasks for us cheaper than hiring staffing, etc.. So, we’re in the process of getting retirees in place to do both our care rooms (testing) and our tracing since we have a pretty good system in place at this point.

Hi Eric. I know that in a prior District all the teachers had these devices and they absolutely loved them. I don’t think they were a high maintenance item because it was a battery they popped into the device around their neck when the battery died. I didn’t see them as an issue and supported their purchase and use.
