Good morning – many of you may recall the recent snow storm that stranded several Districts students in Big Bear for close to a week at the Science Camp. As a means of learning from that moment, I am relooking at insurance coverage requirements for these camps including adding extra language on incremental weather, medication supplies, communications with parents, and the decision to postpone or cancel.” Has your District changed their approach to emergencies with these camps? And what is your policy limits for them. We currently are using 1 million / 3 million – this is not a lot considering the number of students, water, vs unreliable weather conditions.
Any thoughts – I would appreciate your feedback.
