Hi all! What vendor do you use for ergonomic evaluations — especially connected to Work Comp claims?March 19, 2021 at 1:42 pm #1355KeithParticipant
I went to Humanscale and got certified as a COEE (Certified Office Ergonomics Evaluator). I highly suggest getting certified and doing it yourself!March 29, 2021 at 1:14 pm #1491TerrieParticipant
The Back School is another option. They also teach how to do remote ergonomic assessments. Here is the link to register for their April 21st Remote Ergonomics Assessment Specialist. https://thebackschool.net/reas-remote-ergonomics-assessment-specialist-certification-training#117March 29, 2021 at 1:37 pm #1628JimmieParticipant
A reminder for school districts that are members of SISC’s Worker’s Compensation Program (Self-Insured Schools of California), SISC offers Ergonomic Assessments both in-person and remotely as a complimentary service to it’s member districts. Please contact SISCI-RiskManagement@kern.org if your district is a member of SISC’s Workers Compensation program for more information.March 30, 2021 at 1:33 pm #1763DanielParticipant
We use Gainful Inc. They will do virtual and in person evaluations. When doing in person the evaluator will wear a face mask and gloves and will maintain adequate (6’ plus) physical distance from the employee when conducting the ergonomic evaluation. Upon completion of the evaluation, the evaluator will disinfect and wipe the areas of the workstation he/she touched. If equipment is needed they will ask the employer if they have the recommended equipment. If the employer doesn’t, the employer can purchase and ask Gainful to install or they can purchase from Gainful.
