Has anyone seen or developed a policy regarding District staff bringing their children to work?

Hi! Bringing children to work is a huge liability. I remember this coming up when teaching online during COVID. I do not remember a policy that stated not brining children to work but I do know that bringing children to work is not in the job description or bargaining contract. The employee handbook describes employees responsibilities and does not mention bringing family/children to work. You could add it there, but just because it’s not stated doesn’t mean it’s allowed. Volunteers are not allowed to bring student siblings on field trips because it impedes their role in supervision. Your jpa coverage applies to staff and, possibly, volunteers (if you have it setup that way). I am not aware of waivers for staff to sign to accept liability for their children present during the work day and would not want to see that implemented because of the exposure.
